Sundar C is at his associate territory once again. The
director-turned-actor is back up to filmmaking and has about realised his
directorial guess Nagaram Marupakkam, which is a continuation to Thalainagaram,
his first flick as hero.
Also maintaining the megaphone, Sundar too acts the lead
role. Anuya of ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Madurai Sambavam’ fame is the
heroine. The film is produced by Avni Cinemax (P) Ltd, a banner owned by
Khushbhu, wife of Sundar.
Music of ‘Nagaram Marupakkam’, composed by Thaman S, will be
released by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in Chennai on Monday evening. Kamal
Hassan will receive the first copy of the audio from the Chief Minister at the
occasion to be presided over by Tamil filmmakers Council president Rama
Narayanan.
Sundar last directed Rendu, starring Madhavan and Anushka.
He stopped calling the tune ever since he became a successful actor with
non-stop releases like ‘Thalainagaram, Veerappu, Sanda, Ayudham Seivom, Thee’
and ‘Aindham Padai’.
“I chose to direct a movie again because I don’t want the
director in me to shock seat thanks to my desire to relief front of the camera.
The decision to make a sequel to Thalainagaram was because the film was a
turning point in my career and the story had the potential for a second part,”
the actor-director says.
