Japan deleted more 200 flights and a lot of ferrying services to
it has southerly islands on Tuesday as a typhoon roiled in earlier potential
heading towards the Korean peninsula this week.
Typhoon Kompasu, packing blasts of
capable 216 kms (134 miles) per hr near its centre, was approach Okinawa and
close subtropical islands in the country's far south, the Japan meteorological agency told.
The authority came out a
discouraging by accented rainfalls and strong gales, and discouraged occupiers
to get on alert versus potential landslides and floods.
The typhoon was affecting
northwest at a speed of 20 kms (13 miles) per hr through the East China Sea and
on its current course could hit the Korean peninsula around Thursday, the
agency said.
At least 216 flights were
cancelled, affecting more 15,000 passengers, while most localized ferry
services were delayed, local media reported.
