The supreme leader of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin,
hinted on Monday that the presidency again in 2012 for six years and Democracy
said the protesters to march without permission deserved to be beaten. Asked by
the newspaper Kommersant, in an interview that the 2012 Russian presidential
election was not worried that he had already decided, Putin replied: No, I'm
interested as ... I mean like everyone else, but in reality, rather than

president from 2000-2008 before handing the presidency to his chosen successor,

However, Putin is free to run again in 2012 for a further extension of six
years duration.
In the interview, Mr. Putin has strongly defended the police
crackdown against pro-democracy demonstrators in recent months. "If you
get the (permit), you must exit and March," Putin said. "If you do
not - you have no right." Go without permission, and you'll be hit in the
head with truncheons. That's all there is to it."
